Hey, what’s your agenda?
This morning during breakfast, one of the Supper Clubbers asked an important question:
“I just want to know. What’s everybody’s agenda with this thing?”
Here’s a breakdown of what was said.
1.For starters, no one is getting paid. Long hours have already been spent by ultra talented people who are established in their field on prep cooking, shopping, filming, organizing, photos, writing, cleaning, chopping, posting, editing, planning, organizing, and managing. And we’re only just getting started. Why would we do that? One word: passion.
2.Food for the soul: It’s about bringing people together, creating a sense of community, a time and place for a gathering that might not otherwise happen.
3. Think locally, act globally: Shanti expressed the desire to take ZSC all over the country, to encourage people to do the same thing we’re doing in their neighborhoods.
4. Think Green: Not only do we want to set a stage for environmental awareness in party-throwing and food preparation, but also in spending. In many ways, we see the economy as a good thing, as it encourages more resourcefulness and creativity in everything we do, but it does not have to limit us.
That’s about it for now … We just thought this was really important!
