Shea claims he got his name from hippie parents, but when we Googled it we found out that it’s Gaelic and means graceful, free and courageous. Good traits when you are battling it out in the movie industry.

Born in Tampa, FL but raised in New Canaan, CT, he graduated pre-law but ended up working on the set of “Dawsons Creek” in 1996. From there he worked his way up from PA to AD and everything in between over the last 15 years of working on set.

Shea has been a Venice local since 1997,  and joined up with the ZSC crew a few weeks ago to offer up some expertise in the directing arena. The fact that he has directed several short films and many commercials
and assistant directed on films and TV will definitely help the mission.

When not working Shea can be found surfing the Venice pier with Sven and other neighborhood friends, traveling, snowboarding Mammoth. eating good food and spending time with family and friends. “I love photography and I film everything I can. My dream is to be a full time director, so I am excited about this project.”
